Junior Husky Packs

WMS Weekend Food Program & Food Pantry

Junior Husky Packs Weekend Food Program is a weekly food distribution program designed to support students in the Washington Middle School (WMS) community. We aim to provide extra food for children who would otherwise have difficulty getting access to food over the weekend. Students will receive a bag of essential food items each Friday afternoon while school is in session, starting in October. Food is picked up from the Health Center.

Who can apply?

Any student currently enrolled in WMS who feels they would benefit from the program by filling out the Junior Husky Pack Application Form. Students can opt-in or opt-out at any time during the school year. Participant information will be kept confidential.

Donations?

All donations benefit WMS students. In addition to occasional food drives at school events, you can donate to the program any time by dropping off items in the WMS office. We can also reuse your gently-used backpacks, duffle bags and grocery bags so please consider recycling them through the pantry.

  • Single-Serve Packets of Oatmeal
  • Instant Breakfast Shakes
